Murder! (1930)

Finally! A Hitchcock that's kinda like Hitchcock!

First of all, when was the last time you saw a picture titled “Murder!”, exclamation point included? I don’t think it’s too forward, do you?
I enjoyed this movie, although I wish I could have understood it better.  It’s a shame that these crummy DVD adaptations don’t included subtitles, I could really use them!  The plot is (surprisingly) about a murder and the girl convicted.  A jury member has doubts and decides to figure out the truth before it’s too late.  Now, I don’t REALLY think that a juryman can conduct his own investigation but we’ll pretend.  There are some excellently photographed scenes, though. It’s fun to see an early work of his that actually looks like he made it. 6/10
